Shailene Woodley is an American actor, activist and writer. Her fame was boosted by her performance as Alexandra King as a teen girl suffering from addiction - in The Descendants. Apart from the well-respected performance she gave in The Descendants, Shailene has been in a number of roles, which have shown the ability she has to portray difficult characters with ease. Shailene managed to get a prominent place in the world of film early in her career. This is itself an accomplishment. After beginning her career with television shows and commercials she moved on to prominent part in Hollywood films.
