Carey, who is almost 5'10" tall, was once a leading American modeling model. Top designers including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren loved her. Her father, a distinguished scientist, who was awarded the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists 1979 Scientist of Year award, is an accomplished scientist. The father of Carey was a geologist and traveled the globe as a part of his profession. While she was at an institution called the University of Colorado at part-time when she was discovered to be the target of Ford model Agency representative in New York. She briefly lived and studied in Paris prior to returning back to New York. Her modeling as well as her college career took off and she appeared on Glamour's, Vogue's and a variety of other magazines' covers. Between modeling gigs, she was a full-time student who was pursuing a degree in literary studies at New York University. In New York she began to pursue acting. Her part was a minor one in Club Paradise with Robin Williams, in 1986. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, wind surfing, rock climbing and white water white water rafting.
