Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her parents are of Polish heritage (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen was already a talented entertainer at an early stage. In 1992, she went to her very first audition. The audition was for an appearance on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency just before turning 13 years old. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. Now, Bell also begins private acting lessons. Bell had a small uncredited performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell took part in the drama and music club of Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the production for high school of The Wizard of Oz. Bell studied music theatre in the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. In 2001, Bell went to university and decided to play the role in the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and the credits are all that depict her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
